Mold remediation plan:
The EPA states that exposure to damp and moldy environments may cause a variety of health effects, or none at all. ... For those susceptible, molds can cause nasal stuffiness, throat irritation, coughing or wheezing, eye irritation, or in some cases skin irritation. People with mold allergies may have more severe reactions. Immune-compromised people and people with chronic lung illnesses, such as obstructive lung disease, may get serious infections in their lungs when they are exposed to mold.
Mold should be evaluated and tested by a certified Mold Assessor to evaluate how much mold is present, and the size of the affected area. If the area is larger than 10 sq ft the project should be assessed to see what measures should be taken to assure it is remediated correctly. For a mold remediation project to take place, an Independent Mold Assessor must test and make a remediation plan before a company can come in to remove the mold.
If you suspect that you have a mold issue present within your home, it is important that you have a professional certified mold inspector examine and/or test the area. Best Choice Home Inspections conducts mold testing as well as remediation plans if you decide to have the mold removed.
